Il 2023 ha scandito la decima edizione di una manifestazione che è nata dalla spinta emotiva dirompente dei lavoratori dell’ex Ilva ora acciaierie di Taranto. Oggi quel tre ruote è diventato un enorme autoarticolato, un’insieme complesso di motivazioni e volontà popolare, che raccoglie consenso e sostegno dai “forestieri” e dai numerosi artisti eccellenti, figli della città Spartana a sostegno dei fratelli e concittadini scaraventati nel dirupo del dramma ambientale e sociale della città.
2023 marked the tenth edition of an event that was born from the disruptive emotional drive of the workers of the former Ilva now Taranto steelworks. Today that three-wheeler has become a huge articulated lorry, a complex set of motivations and popular will, which gathers consent and support from “foreigners” and from numerous excellent artists, sons of the Spartan city in support of the brothers and fellow citizens thrown into the precipice of the environmental and social drama of the city.
Tante le partecipazioni a sostegno, ottima e rodata l’organizzazione autofinanziata, per l’atteso evento annuale del riscatto tarantino. Tutto perfetto, ogni cosa al suo posto nel Parco delle Mura Greche, pronte ad accogliere il mare di gente, ma l’imprevisto. Nella città dei 2 mari e del sole cocente, dal clima meraviglioso sempre in giacca leggera e mai con il cappotto, si è scatenato il diluvio universale. Probabilmente sono le lacrime dal cielo, di chi ci guarda dall’alto, che ha bagnato i profumi della primavera tarantina, nel fango di quanto ancora immodificato, se non aggravato nel danno ambientale e sociale.

Tanti hanno cavalcato l’impeto della protesta dolorosa tarantina, in molti si sono fregiati quali onorevoli nazionali ed europei, traendo vantaggi e poi scomparendo, vergogna! Ad ogni modo la festa si è comunque celebrata al massimo della possibilità meteorologica possibile e questo è un punto fermo per il futuro di questa manifestazione che va vissuta, agevolata e sostenuta, anche con il contributo finanziario, oggi più che mai per recuperare i costi anticipati, è possibile farlo con donazioni al crownfounding del UNO Maggio Tarantino.
